ALPINE CLIMBING INTRODUCTION
Learn the basic progression techniques in an alpine environment. Perform, in a safe and autonomous way, ascension trough snowy terrain with an inclination that will never exceed 50ºa.
- Knowledge of the natural environment where we will be imparting our course.

- Revise progression with ice axes and crampons.
- Revise the notions of Self-detection.
- Map and review interpretation.
- Basic notions of ARVA (victim detection in avalanche scenarios) management.
- Knots.
- Basic progress techniques and maneuvers in alpine conditions.
- Specific Alpine Climbing 1 techniques (roping, belays, anchoring…)
- Ratio: 1 teacher, 6 students.
- Duration: 2 days.
- Requirements: You mustn’t have any kind of medical condition that could hinder your progress during the activity. Knowledge according to the content of the winter mountaineering course. (Assessment of sports curriculum).
- Location: “Sierra Nevada” National Park.
- Materials: helmet, ice ax, crampons, harness, high mountain boots, leggings, warm waterproof clothing, we recommend bringing an ARVA (victim detection in avalanche scenarios) device, shovel and probe.
